No clue, but nothing bad is happening. Mine has done that from day one with nary an issue to be found with the drive train.

My hypothesis is that light is what would be the "dome" light on a car/van. Thus whenever the ignition is on it lights up and when you turn the ignition off it fades off. I figure the slight flashes it does is simply bleed current from some other circuit (from the looks of the flashes I'd say CAN network traffic). I tend to use it as a proxy for the state of charge in the chassis battery: If its on bright the battery is good.
