I agree about not giving up on the awning being covered under warranty, extended or otherwise. However, based on some friends experience with CW you will probably have to fight with them over every single repair.
The pex should be okay unless some fittings got froze so solid they expanded too much and were damaged. Even if the water pump is toast you can replace it with a high end one for less than $250.00 yourself in about 5 minutes.
