I'd caution against loosening any aluminum part on a bike on a regular basis. It's a good way to have a stem or handlebar failure which leads to catastrophic accidents. I've seen friends go down hard from stem or handlebar failures, and it's not pretty.
Obviously if you have a bike with steel components or extremely heavy-duty parts you may get away with it for a while. The more expensive (light) the bike the less you'd probably want to do it.
