I got a call from the cabinet place today, my panel was ready. Behold the new replacement panel (but which one is it?):

Yeah ok its the one on the top (a lot more woodgrain in it).
Its perfect, even the thickness matches the original panel (they were concerned that their stock was a bit thicker but its the same).
Note that the other panel in the picture is just the inside panel of the cabinet wall--not the "original" one I'm replacing--that one has a few more, and bigger, holes in it.
Have some business travel coming up so I won't be able to finish the project for a week or two, however--but its still winter and we won't be using the coach yet so there is time... |
I like the new panel. I like the grain. Can't wait to see the final project.
