The edit window is 120 minutes and if you need an assist after that you can either report the problem post or message a moderator. we can unlock the post for edits. The reason for the limitation is that we've had a few instances where someone removed several posts from a discussion leaving the rest of the thread without that content as a reference. It ruins discussion continuity - sort of like reading a book where pages were randomly torn out
