Disconnect relay fix

First of all I hope the pictures show up otherwise this is not going to make much sense.
Picture 1 is the relay which is under the bed. They place the relay all over the RV's is depends on the model.
I replaced the relay and now it works fine I wanted to see why is was not working so I took it apart. The relay is pretty simple in picture 2 you see what it looks like with the cover off. The large copper washer is what makes the contact with the two copper studs which makes the 12v flow. I knew the relay was working because I could hear it clicking.
In picture 3 you can see the the bottom side of the washer is all black and the copper studs are also black I think the corrosion was keeping the relay from working. Because I all ready replaced the relay I am not going to put it back in but I am going to save it for the next time I have a problem hopefully never.
I got the relay from "Leisure Time Distributing" vary nice people the part is exactly the same as the old one. The one I found on amazon has a built on fuse the one in the RV has no fuse.
If I had taken it apart first I'm pretty sure I could of saved my self some money.
I would disconnect the ground cable from the battery if you are going to remove the relay.
