I used to live in Va Beach and have a Hurricane 35C. Rt 460 isn't terrible but there are some stretches where the roadway is paved across and oncoming lanes are just across the yellow line. It also goes through some towns where the speed limit goes down as low as 25. I never felt stressed about taking this route.

The good news is that it isn't that well traveled until you get closer to Hampton Roads and then it is a separated highway. It is also the only way (coming from the north) to avoid having to shut off your propane to go through a tunnel.
