Our 2017 Axis batteries were going dead while in storage. I installed a cut off switch on the Chassis (engine) battery (negative side) With the switch cut off, if I turn the ignition key on, the dash lights up and the engine solenoid clicks!
I verified the cut off switch was breaking the negative continuity to ground. My volt meter indicates the house batteries and the engine battery are always tied together-Even if I put the house batteries in "store" position.

Is this normal?

Thanks in advance.
Just a question, why didn't you put the switch on the POSITIVE (+) leg?
