Capping off outside shower

While getting the Axis ready for our last trip, I noticed that there was a lot of light coming from the outside shower. It was light outside and dark inside the coach. I have also noticed that there is a draft coming from behind the sofa when the temperature differential is great between the outside and inside temperatures.

The outside shower box is full of holes and doesn't seem to be very air tight.

I also always forget to run water through the outside shower at least once during the de-winterize, bleach, and flush procedure.

I am contemplating capping off the outside shower water lines where the connect to the pex tubing and insulating the box somehow.

Anyone taken this on or have any brilliant ideas on how to insulate the box without removing it?
