The use/store switch does activate the relay in the box however it has power on both sides of the relay at all times even with no shore power and if it is on or off and doesn't turn the power off. That is why I'm thinking feed back somewhere but doesn't explain the no DC part. I have checked and rechecked all connections and I'm going to retrace the wires again (you know what they say the 1348th time is the charm!).
