from what I've read its much more than just about flushing the fuel....

running it under load is also considered maintenance on the electrical side of things..... I don't understand it well enough myself so I'm not about to try to explain it. Driving out moisture mostly, as I understand it but maybe other things too?

I don't run mine every month exactly, but i do make a point to run it often while driving, often when i don't even need the house AC or anything just because that's the only time available and I won't be running it at a CG plugged in....
