Traveling Cat, We have just returned home from our camping trip. The campground where we were staying is Salt Springs Recreation Area in the Ocala National Forest (on Hwy 19). Streets and campsites are paved and there are full hookups. There is a boat ramp, fishing area, biking, and hiking. This is a campground that is in the forest and there to enjoy nature; in other words, there is not entertainment at every turn. If you do stay at Salt Springs, the best place to eat is Bass Champions Restaurant on Hwy 314.
Thanks for the tip on the campground and restaurant. We always like to hear about the best places to camp and what to enjoy in the area. Hope to see you in October
