Exactly the problem, right? The above information means nothing to anyone other than you because we don’t know what size generator you’re referring to.

Anyway, a kWh is nothing more than running 1,000 watts for an hour, or 500 watts for two hours, or 4,000 watts for 15 minutes. It’s all the same amount of electrical energy, and if generators were all equally efficient, they would use same amount of fuel (except for diesel vs gas difference).
