East Coast

We live in S. E. Virginia and RV ourselves around the east coast regularly for 3, or 4 day weekends. Once north of North Carolina, we avoid the 'inland routes', particularly I-95, like the plague. Two hour traffic jams are SOP anywhere north of Richmond. DC or Baltimore? Get the gun. You hit on it with the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, Route 13. Traveling the eastern shore of Va, Md, & De is unique, and a traffic breeze compared to inland routes. Depending on your time element, and destination, consider coming off of 13 onto 113 to Lewes, Delaware, and catch the Lewes / May ferry to Cape May, NJ. Not only is the 1.5 hour ride neat, but [Victorian]Cape May is about as nice as it gets. Also on 113 is unique Berlin, Md, and Rehoboth & Bethany beach cities in Delaware. Happy Travels!
