I don't think the ride is harder or harsher, but the front Sumo springs did stiffen it up a bit.
We have some pretty crappy road surfaces in my region of the country, too. I'm hoping that a new set of tuned Bilstein shock-absorbers will reduce the crashing of the suspension, especially on the front. After rolling over numerous potholes and expansion joints it seems to me that the damping, or lack thereof, is what needs addressed at this point on my Axis. I'm also installing the Helwig sway bars front and rear to address the roll control in crosswinds and other windy conditions.
