If it makes you feel safer, more secure then do so, locks just keep honest people honest, if someone wants it they will get it.
If folks are paranoid about theft then they probably shouldn't own a rv.
There's a good chance that 50% of the folks at any given campground will have the same key to your compartments as you do & quite possibly the same door key. Even without the key someone with a flat blade screwdriver can be in the door or any/all compartments in about 2 seconds. Most thieves don't want your rv, they want the tv's & other electronic equipment that's easily carried & quickly pawned, that's why most dealers don't install the tv's til the rv is sold.
Unfortunately that's the society we live in today, if it makes you sleep better to lock it up, do so!
