I split the driving 50/50 with my wife. I think it is really important that your wife can drive in an emergency (I got really sick once and relied on my wife to drive the RV.) She should know how to disconnect utilities and connect a tow car too. I like to drive, but it is just a practical decision to have two people able. You never think an illness or medical emergency can happen to you, but... Last summer my wife and I flew to Prince George, B.C. to drive an RV back to Oregon for a very sick friend. It happens.
