Mainly thinking it would reduce my usage if I had to deal with taking the cover off and on for each trip. I don't view them as easy to use - more of a wrestling match on the roof of the RV.
Others have reported covers coming loose and damaging the finish.
Now it just sits there ready to go anytime I want - start it up and drive.
Personal preference of course...

When we had our TT, I dreaded installing the cover because I had to be extremely careful on the roof. Out MH is so much easier. I just lay it out next to the MH and pull one corner up at the back then pull the cover up to the roof a little at a time when I am on the roof. I don't have any problem taking the cover on and off any more.
