Try tapping into the cigarette lighter plug. Lighter plugs are usually not tied into anything else due to their current draw, I would then ground directly to the MH frame in a location somewhere away from the dash.
This is very interesting since many of us have installed new monitors using the factory switch box wiring and have not had any problems.
