I just drove up the 6% 8 mile long Sherwin grade north of Bishop. It was 107 and shortly turned to 109. I turned the chassis AC off but forgot to turn the generator and coach AC on. Up at the summit it was 95 at 8,000’. I shifted by hand to avoid high rpms and even towing the CRV the engine did not overheat. Lots of cars on the side overheated. Coming back up to Big Bear it was 111 and we had a 6 mile or so and up to 16% grade. We unhooked the CRV For this grade. Too many hairpins. No issues and many cars on the side of the road hoods up.
