We have a 2015 vegas 24.1. In order to use our tailgater, we had to run a cable through the window in the kitchen area, up to the cabinet above the sink. That is where the hdmi cable for th 211 receiver was put in at the factory. There is a short flat cable you can buy just for this purpose. It allows you to close the window.
There is no control box in our motorhome.
