Welcome to the RV world.
I'm going to guess you'll be using military campgrounds where and when available. I did and still do. If you don't have one, check the PX for a copy of "Military RV, Camping and Outdoor Recreation" - might be in Tours and Tickets Office. Published by
www.militaryliving.com. There was talk of it being done away with - my copy is 2012.
A great help is a website put together by a former USAFer.
www.militarycompgrounds.us is very up-to-date and accepts inputs from military travelers. Loads of info on CGs, PX/NEX/MCX, commissary, gas, medical.
If you use android, allstays.com has a free app (CRV Military) that also lists "Tents for Troop Sites" throughout the US for active duty use. One or two FREE nights of camping. That'll definitely help the travel budget. Wish that program had been around when I was on active duty. The stand alone website for the TFT Program is
www.tentsfortroops.org
Travel safe and thanks for your service
