We switched from a tow dolly to flat towing when we bought the Axis last year.
We use a Blue Ox Aventa, Blue Ox base plate, and Ready Brake, which is a surge system. If we hadn't already had the Aventa, we would have purchased the Ready Brute, which is a combined Ready Brake and tow bar.
Both the Ready Brake and Ready Brute are reasonably priced and we are pleased with performance. We ordered online and had a local shop install the base plate, lights, and charge line.
