having Solar if you don't yet have an Inverter will only allow you to use 12v power, not 120v for TVs and outlets...

so, it sounds like you really want to simply purchase an off-the-shelf power Inverter, found easily in the W*mt tire section, or any auto parts store. Some use your 12v power outlet, and some have alligator clips that connect directly to your batteries(probably the best option)... these Inverters have outlets on them, and USB outlets, too... so you just simply plug in your items and enjoy.
You may also want several extension cords to reach your TVs, etc., but it's a good and simple way to have 120v power, at least for the few times you are 'off grid'...

I, personally, would not go to the cost or effort to install solar or a hardwired inverter, just for the 'infrequent' need for off-grid power.

of course, some TVs are 12v, like our bedroom Jensen, so you can use the TV while only on 12v battery power, but most folks like to use a satellite Antenna, and receiver, and therefore need 120v power anyway.
