We use our toad to explore the area and our coach as the "base." I kept a log this year recording miles and fuel used on our trips for both coach and toad. The toad had almost as many miles put on it in exploring as the coach did getting to the camp sites. At this rate the tow bar will be paid off in gas savings sometime next year. But, we like to explore a lot, your situation may be different.
