"Assuming" your inverter has it's own ATS I would install it as close as possible to your battery bank to minimize the DC wire length. Install a 250 Amp DC Circuit Breaker immediately off the battery positive terminal.



Get at least a 6 slot load center sub-panel from Lowes or Home Depot and mount it near your existing breaker panel.

Move your desired circuits to the sub-panel and wire the output of the inverter to the sub-panel. The inverter should already have its own circuit breaker for the output.

Get a 25 Amp circuit breaker for your existing breaker panel and run the output of this circuit breaker to the AC input on your inverter.

Bingo-Bango Done!
