Circuit board replacement help

Hello!

We have a 1995 Thor Columbus. The previous owners advised us that the circuit board that controls the hot water tank needs to be replaced and provided us with the replacement part, a dinosaur replacement board.
He pointed to under the seat of the kitchen table area and said that we needed to look there for swapping it out.
I have inside the seating area and located the furnace box thing with all of the vents connected to it and such but I can't seem to find a way to remove the housing to this unit. Even after removing all of the screws and vents there isn't a way to remove the housing. Can any of you please help me out? We are needing a hot shower!
Is this even the correct spot?
I've attached a photo of the unit I located. Click image for larger version
