If you’re talking about the fabric covered piece up near the windshield, I didn’t remove that on mine. I removed the large plastic cover on top of the dash as well as the computer work station to gain access. If you’re looking to check the ducting connected to the defroster vents then I suspect you could pull those vents off and look in. I know that on our Coach that there are several ducts running underneath and behind the radio. That radio gets hot under normal conditions. If someone had a leak in their ducting under there then that would definitely make it worse.
