Here is another important point to remember -- your house batteries will charge from the converter when on shore power, charge from the generator, and charge from the engine-driven alternator when going down the road --- BUT (and this is a big BUT) the USE/STORE switch must be in USE for that to happen. The house batteries will not charge if the USE/STORE is in STORE.

Think of that switch as a battery disconnect switch. When it's in STORE it activates a latching relay that disconnects the house batteries. Disconnected batteries will not charge. When you position it to USE to electrically connect the hose batteries to the DC electrical system.
