I used an adjustable wrench the first time, rounded off the head a little.

Tried the inexpensive Camco water heater wrench & that really didn't work for me. I couldn't go too far & then I couldn't re-grip properly, so I had to end up using adjustable wrench again.

I ended up ordering a flex-head, ratchet wrench.

This works perfectly for me.
