I have the same/similar spare tire mount on my Four Winds 26 B. It was a factory option and installation. It's very solid even though I hope I never have to take it off. The main reason I went with this is I've discovered that usually when you need an emergency tire replacement the tire you want will be not available 50% of the time. It give me peace of mind as does my AAA and Good Sams emergency roadside service. When it comes to RVing cross country like I do I'm a Belt AND Suspenders kind of guy.
