Tank heaters are not AC, they are 12V DC. If they were AC the other stuff I'm powering with the tank heater circuit would have exploded long ago! LOL

OEM batteries have traditionally been Harris wet cell batteries. Some have had good luck with them some haven't. It usually has been how were they treated while it sat in the dealers lot. Nonetheless one of the first things you should do is put disconnects on both battery systems (chassis and house)--along with getting an alignment.
