Here's my thinking...

The attached chart shows High Pressure @ 70 degrees to be approx. 150 psi, and since the AC compressor is not working, the system should be equalized @ approx. 75 psi (not the 53 as shown on my gauge). So, Im thinking it's low and needs refrigerant. Looks like a vacuum pull to verify any leaks in the system is in order.
