Open the outside compartment.
Check the circuit board as it has a light that will blink error codes. Many of us have had issues with water collecting on and under the control board. Even mold. Dry it off, or blow it off, reset and try again.
All of the furnace devices and the thermostat are 12V, so check for furnace fuses not breakers.
