The FAN switch just controls the AC fan. Sounds like the wire from the thermostat to the furnace telling it to run is disconnected. Have you pulled your thermostat and checked Thor's fine wiring? As I recall they used small wirenuts to connect the thermostat wires to the wire runs to the furnace and AC.
