YIKES! Propane service valve stuck

Gonna tell you a story 'bout a coach name Thor...
On Friday (of course) preparing to leave on a trip (of course) I decided to install an extend-stay tee. As I rolled the valve closed I felt a slight resistance, 3 clicks (like ratcheting) before it stopped, closed. I removed the regulator, installed the tee, regulator, opened the valve and bubble tested the connections. Boy that was easy. So I went inside, bled the stove and... no gas! Only a wee teensy flame. Pulled the tee, repeated steps, 4-7. No change. Consulted gurus, bought and replaced the regulator (yeah, I know, go with the gut). Same story, only a whisper of flame. The RV dealer said they could replace the service valve, in a week, after some serious diagnosis, gauges and meters, you know. I'm exhaused from googling propane tank repair (think bbq results) Amazon sells the exact tank, complete, for $357 delivered which sounds cheaper than RV dealer rates.
This isn't fun anymore. Wha-wha-wha.
