How much I carry depends on the trip length...
Many more tools for the 3+ months away versus the weekend.
A core set of tools stays in the RV of course - socket set, hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, wire stippers, etc.. screws and hardware.
For long trips I've added dremel tools, cordless screwdrivers, etc...
But then always the opportunity to buy a new tool for a project. DW wanted some additional shelves in the RV on our first snowbird trip - I didn't have a saw... Now have a dremel saw max in the inventory.
One those 3 month trips I was very near the GVWR... Just more stuff in general - but certainly more tools.
