We ran the furnace the other evening and my wife exclaimed the floor was hot in one spot and ..."look, it's bubbled up". Yep, the vinyl flooring was lifted about 3/4" from the galley cabs to the extended slide-out, and from the wall at the head to the cab. The hot area was a depresdion shy of 3x10". I slid my pocket knife in for 2" and hit thin metal. The vinyl is not glued down during construction, it's held in place by the walls and cabinets. The plywood had been cut out for a floor register, vinyl laid but wasn't cut out and the register was forgotten. Hah! Luckily, here in Quartzsite is Gambler's RV surplus, salvage, used parts and graveyard. I found one in brown and it dropped right in. TA-DA !!!
