For the rest of us who want something new, Ford said they expect their 7.3L V8 to be most powerful in class, which should therefore exceed Chevy’s new but smaller 6.6L V8. At same 70 lb-ft per liter, that would put the new pushrod Ford around 500 lb-ft, which would be a significant improvement over the outgoing 6.8L V10.
