Saw both the Windsport and the Hurricane at the Tampa RV show. Although we bought a new Windsport it left us wondering why Thor makes identical units but different names? Locally GeneralRV has the Windsport and Camping World the Hurricane.

Thor Mortorcoach builds four different coach lines at Plant 750 - Freedom Traveler, ACE, Hurricane and Windsport. The floor plans are similar but the furnishings, colors and front/ rear caps are different. The Freedom brand is built exclusively for Camping World. The other three lines are carried by many dealers. Each Thor dealer is assigned a specific area in which no other Thor dealer can sell the same coach line. Why? Most state laws require exclusive geographic area be defined for each dealer. So Thor MC can serve Camping World, a ACE RV dealer, a Hurricane Dealer and a Windsport Dealer in the same city and still comply with state law.
