Well thats now how the Axis/Vegas our made (And I bet ACE and Hurricanes) Mine has two channels (Groves) cut directly into the foam insulation from the front cap to the back cap with the ac between them then connected to distribut thoughout the RV.
No actual duct work like the picture above shows.
I have cut into the foam myself to modify the airflow in my Axis so I know it does not have actual ductwork.
