Not sure if you're understanding me or not I know that the engine is not slowing the coach down put the transmission gearing down and on a diesel Jake brake releases compression on the engine which slows it down trucks I drove straight drives you always put it in a lower gear going downhill and hope it never popped out ex truck driver use Jake brake plenty of times
