I am going to take a guess that your slide is an electric Schwintek. You can confirm this by looking at the outside of the slide wall and let us know if you see two horizontal aluminum tracks, one near the top of the slide and the other near the bottom. You may have already done this, but since you didn't mention it, I would suggest the you make sure that the slide motors are synchronized. If the slide is already all the way in, press the button again to retract and hold it for about 5 seconds after the slide has physically stopped. Then try to open the slide. If it extends to the full open position snd stops, do the same as before by holding the extend button about 5 seconds after the slide has physically stopped in what should be the fully extended position. After performing this operation on both ends and the problem is not resolved then you will probably need to get it in for service. The controllers (there is one for each slide, so make sure you locate the correct one) are usually located in the storage compartments. They have LEDs that can provide codes to some of the problems. If you have the manual, you might take a scan of it and see if it gives you any answer. Also, there is a lot of informaton on line about the operation of this type system and how to troubleshoot it.
