I pondered the air compressor idea when I bought my RV last year. Finally settled on the idea that about the only thing I would really need to use it for was to put air in the tires. And, maybe, an occasional trim nailer for minor repairs/alterations inside and blow clean floors and under carriage stowage bins.)

Got a 3 gallon/100 PSI compressor from HF that I power up on the RV's AC circuits. Big enough for what I want to do, small enough to put in one corner and forget, and light enough that GF can get it out for me.
