Might be a short or one bad wire from the switch to the motor? I dont know this but im thinking it has 3 wires, one ground and TWO power (one for clock wise and one for counter clock wise)? I would have to research this. Others members will know more than I on this subject .... But I think it could be one bad wire to the motor from the switch?
Can you take a picture of the motor and wires and post for us?
You could check each wire indiviually with a multi meter to see if they are good too.

I will try to get photos. It makes sense that it's a bad wire (but it also made sense that it was a bad switch) ... acts the same with the new switch. I'll try to figure out how to jump it tomorrow.
