As Gritz stated above, Florida is a much different animal than West and Northeast. My unit is usually at my North house (Highlands County) which is only mildly less swamp like than my South house which is along edge of everglades. Even with lows in high 50's to low 60's daytime heat gain will usually cause A/C to run enough that inside never gets damp feel or smell. My wife is very sensitive and appreciates how it is inside. We are approaching 3 years and just passed 22,000 miles. Unit still smells like it did when we brought home. We recently moved my disabled sister in law to Florida after her husband passed in Charleston SC. We have spent enough time there to see climate is very like our areas in Florida. What works here may work there. But, a big but everything involving RV requires a degree of try and see.
