I forgot to add, Airstream had no, zero, zip storage on the outside but was the most comfortable ride I have ever had. I have had Caddy's, Lincoln's and more but nothing even came close to the ride comfort and seating comfort in the Sprinter.
A plus for the Axis, we got so used to traveling light that we have empty storage bins on the Axis. And, my wife travels with a bin full of shoes.
Like I said, I'd like to have both. What features are important for you?
