Water Heaters - Atwood Mobile

Use the link above to find atwoods manuals, they will identify the exact version you have, some are adjustable, some are not>

"The temperature knob or lever is factory adjusted to itslowest dial setting.
We recommended the mid-point position between warm and hot,
as noted above. This will provide for energy efficientoperation and
sufficient hot water. Valves for reducing point of usetemperature by
mixing cold and hot water are available. Consult a licensedplumber or
local plumbing authority."

I had an older 5th wheel with the manual adjustable controllers, the version I have now has an ECO and is not adjustable.

One thing I found interesting in the Atwood manuals is this warning about operation while in motion:

Turn gas OFF at the LP tank when vehicle is in motion. This disables
all gas appliances. Gas appliances must never be operated while
vehicle is in motion. Unpredictable wind currents may be created
which could cause flame reversal in the burner tube, which could
result in fire damage. The thermal cut off fuse could also be
unnecessarily activated resulting in a complete shutdown of the
water heater requiring replacement of the thermal cut off. See
maintenance of electronic ignition water heaters for further
explanation of the thermal cut off.
