Well the battery idiot light should be measuring voltage on coach batteries, so if after driving many miles you are only on 3 of 4 lights you are “probably” not charging coach batteries properly via the engine alternator (if that’s how your coach is wired). I am not familiar with your specific coach and not all coaches use the same battery control systems for charging. What I would suggest is buy yourself a cheap multimeter and use the voltmeter portion to measure the voltage on your coach and chassis batteries under various charging conditions (one power source at a time : try shore power/generator running then engine running) to make sure they are all working. For the coach batteries to charge from shore power or generator (via converter) the use/store or on/off power switch for your coach needs to be on. If your coach is wired to connect the coach and chassis batteries together (having an emergency start switch beside the driver is one way to check) then there is a good chance your shore power can charge both coach and chassis batteries together; and also the alternator can charge both chassis and coach batteries together, under certain voltage conditions. If you don’t see any charging (13.1 volts or higher) when measure battery voltage you should investigate your charging system(s). A fully charged wet cell battery is 12.6 volts.
