If you choose to use one, Sta-Bil is the best. Personally I've never used any of that stuff. I've had diesels for over 25 years and the most idle is the Kubota tractor. During winter I keep tank full and it sits sometimes 4-5 months...fires right up. I also keep 8 each 6 gallon Jerry Cans of diesel in stock, rotating it out every 6 months or so. Diesel is more a light oil and is vert stable when left for long periods. It already has stabilizers in it from the refinery. A quote from the net:
Exxon and Chevron state that “diesel fuel can be stored 6 months to 1 year without significant fuel degradation if you keep it clean, cool and dry.”
